I remember as a kid coming home from birthday parties with a plastic bag filled to the brim with candy and inexpensive plastic toys. I loved those bags as I would devour the candy and play with the toys; my mom, not so much. She’d end up chasing the sugar-crazed kid around the house and step on the toys strewn all over the floor. Now as a mom myself, I understand the draw of the ease of the traditional party bag, but I like to spend my money on something more durable and something with a personal touch.
Same goes for weddings. Sorry if you love jordan almonds or little tulle balls of goodness, but why not leave your guests with a reminder of something that is truly you?
