TGA + My Martha = Mojo.

How’s that for a mathematical sentence? I feel like I might need to even add a boo-yah for effect.

Last night I was lucky enough to help out with and attend The Glitter Academy. For those of you who aren’t in the know, it’s a craft night for Phx locals put together by Kristyn from Lil’ Luna, Jamielyn from I {Heart} Naptime, and Steph from Somewhat Simple. There were 200ish of the most fabulous creative ladies getting their craft on in one giant gorgeous room. When you sprinkle in Kim from The TomKat Studio as the guest speaker, oodles of lovely prizes, and a dessert bar complete with cake, cupcakes, and cake pops, you know the night is going to rock.

And it did. Oh, did it ever.

True to form, Kim was super popular and every one wanted a personal conversation with her. I was going to settle with a picture of her in the background a la this post from last year.

But Heidi from Honeybear Lane was nice enough to push me to get a for-real picture.

My friends that I sat with and I joked that I’m going to end up blowing up all of these pictures of Kim and myself and hang them al over my craft room so that I have a constant source of inspiration. Not a bad idea… But seriously, I love listening to how successful women have been able to launch and grow a blog and/or company. It gives me the hope and motivation that I need to keep plugging away.

I have an admission to make: I went to The Glitter Academy last night with no intention whatsoever of crafting. In fact, I didn’t even take a single project to work on. Gasp, right? I loved soaking up every second of Not-On-Call-Momma Time and gabbing and giggling with some of my fave bloggy gals. We seriously can’t wait for the pandemonium we might cause at SNAP in April.

Me, Amy from Pink Bow Bath Boutique

Joanna from Baked by Joanna, Jessa from Sparkle

Sara from Mom Endeavors and Laura from Pink Cake Plate

I’m sure Amy might boycott our friendship after seeing that I’m actually posting this picture, but I have to say that we were quite the lucky table, or I should say that Amy and my sister were lucky. The scored some fab prizes!

I want to say a huge thank you to the ladies that put The Glitter Academy together. They seriously put a ton of blood, sweat, and tears into each event to make it spectacular. Thanks for letting me be a part of it!

  2. It was great seeing you last night! My head looks HUGE, but you ladies look wonderful. :)

  3. Hey Katie. I remember you and Joanna from Creative Estates last year.
‘Hope all is well with you girls and your families. I won’t be able to attend SNAP, but I look forward to reading your posts and tweets.
    Take care.

  4. You are so funny around Kim!! What’s awesome about her is that she is already so super successful but yet continues to show us that she is so grateful and excited for every awesome opportunity (like being included on PB kids mailing list). It would be easy to act high and mighty or whatever but she totally doesnt and is really nice and approachable.

We Love to Hear From You
