Have you ever looked forward to something for an entire year and that single event flies faster than you know and you’re left blinking like, “Did that really happen?”
Yes, Snap happened and I had the time of my life. No joke. I was able to visit an amazing festival. I was able to learn from some of the best and most inspiring in the blog world. I met oodles of fabulous ladies. And I’m shaking my head trying to figure out where the time went, counting the days until I can purchase my ticket for next year.
I was lucky to test out new products that the general public hasn’t even heard of yet. {Yes, you’re seeing a dipping chocolate system from the makers of Scentsy. Watch for Velata coming in May!}
As a person who has dreamed of planning events since a little girl {ask my mom; she can vouch for this}, I was in awe of the sheer magnitude of having to plan, organize, and coordinate an event of this magnitude and although there were a few hiccups in the size of the rooms some very popular classes were held in, everything else ran smoothly and seamlessly. The decor was spot-on and with 325 women packed into the large meeting space, the Snap team did a fantastic job making sure there was ample room for everyone and you at no time felt like a sardine.
Queen Bee Market on the second evening was like a boutique heaven. Not just any old craft peep can get approved to sell their wares there; a solid application process is in place so you know when you shop at Queen Bee, you are getting nothing but the best.
I mean, how cute is all of this?
The Snap team also included some crafty sessions in the midst of the classes too, which was a perfect match for all of us crafty-type girls. When my brain was mush from trying to compute all of the new tips and tidbits I’d gleaned from the various sessions, I was able to take a moment to get creative and let all of the stress go. The lovely ladies from Poppyseed Projects and the Emporium at Thanksgiving Point hooked us up with some sweet projects and the texture cream from Poppyseed is definitely on my to-buy list!
The swag and giveaways at Snap was something I’d never seen before. We were gifted with enough goodies that I had to check a bag on my flight home! Jessa and Joanna won button makers and some other goodies the first night, while Sara and I took home fun business card holders from TaraDara. Loved the one I received last year and this one is even better!
Poor Sara and Amy walked away with zilch in the giveaway department, but I don’t think they’re losers.
Snap was gorgeous. Snap was uplifting. Snap was invigorating. And Snap helped me to learn to be a better ME.
Until next year…
