Freezer Meals and Monthly Menu Planning

After much debate with the Husband and consideration, I’m making a change with how I handle dinner at my home.

That sounded pretty dramatic, right? It’s not. After being inspired by this post, I’ve decided that I’m going to be planning our dinners for an entire month in advance and put together some freezer meals for when life has other plans and I won’t have time to cook. Fingers crossed this help me get my act together and spend much less time staring at the abyss of the pantry trying to figure out what to serve the family each night.

I will readily admit that we’ve had far too many hot dog and pancake nights in the recent past and I’m ready to change that. I’m also ready to make sure that I have everything I need to make dinner on hand when I need it; no more last-minute trips to the grocery store!

So where to start….

I printed out the August calendar from The TomKat Studio {of course, plus it’s free!} and got to work. I’ve been pinning recipes like crazy and planning out August’s menu and I’ve got it almost all laid out. Here’s where I need your help though: I need more options! Do you have any freezer meals or dinner recipe ideas you’d care to share? I don’t want to get stuck in another dinner rut and I’d love to expand my kids’ food horizons past spaghetti and chicken. Do you feel me here?

I’ll make sure to keep you updated with how our meal planning works out and I’ll also make sure to share any amazing recipes that our family loves.

This is one of my favorites: one pan, easy. Throw together raw chicken, pesto, cheese, and add any veggies (if you want), bake. Dinner is done!
