A Style Update! #StyleSurprise

A few weeks back, I posted about needing to regain my sense of fashion, so I thought I’d pop in with a little style update to share what I’ve been up to and what progress I’ve made so far.

A spent some quality time shopping at Sears and I was thrilled with all of the choices that I stumbled across. Here are the four outfit choices I narrowed it down to:

Outfit #1: Blazer, Sheer Shirt, Boot Cut Jeans, Fabulous Sunnies

I’d have to say this outfit is the classier version of what my style is now. The jeans from the Kardashian Collection were super comfortable and I loved that they came in the tall length. Score one for the lengthy ladies!

Outfit #2: Gold Sequin Dress, Statement Necklace

For my next outfit choice, I wanted to pick something really out of the box from what I typically am drawn to.  Enter gold sequin dress. This dress was super fun and sassy, but did absolutely nothing for my pasty white skin.

Outfit #3: Cream Sheer Button Up, Turquoise Skinnies

Skinny jeans are still something that even though I own a few pairs, I’m still not 100% sure of them. I really enjoyed the fit and comfort of these turquoise pair; they’ll pair perfectly with some riding boots that I already own.

Outfit #4: Black 3/4 Sleeve Boatneck, Diagonal Stripe Maxi Skirt

The final of my four outfit choices was actually picked on a whim. I was making my way to the fitting rooms when I happened upon this awesome skirt. I’d been always searching for something like this, but was never sure where I’d find it.

What outfit would you have chosen for me?

So here’s the next question: what did I take home? I had intended on purchasing one new outfit to wear during the holidays, but I couldn’t choose just one. I actually ended up walking away with the jeans and blazer from the first look and the entirety of outfits #3 and #4. Remember how I said that I needed a style update? I feel like I’m well on the way to making that happen now.

The best part of the entire trip is that the Husband and best friend both loved my choices. I love that the two opinions that I value most like my updated style as much as I do!
