Some mornings are rough. Two kids plus myself to get dressed and ready and out the door, getting Luke to school on time, make sure Reagan is prepared and at dance without a tap shoe missing, running errands before Luke gets home, not to mention keeping our home clean and meals made. It gets to be a lot. I need to always have on the go breakfast options stocked and ready at our home to make sure that if nothing else, breakfast doesn’t slip through the cracks.
I recently went with Reagan to Safeway on a fun #BreakfastSavings shopping trip that you can find HERE to look for some new, healthier options for our quick breakfasts. We found lots of great products, but settled on BelVita Breakfast Biscuits, Nature Valley Granola Bars, and (for me) a little Gevalia Chocolate Mocha Coffee.
The kids were thrilled to test out the new breakfast this past week. The kids were more than excited to get to eat what they deemed as cookies for breakfast; the BelVita Breakfast Biscuits were an instant hit. The momma in me knew that I needed to add some fruit to the mix to even things out.
And you know what? My kids were pleased as punch and absolutely thrilled with their breakfast. It took me all of two minutes to put it together, I know I gave my kids a delicious and nutritious breakfast, and we weren’t late for the day. The way I figure, it’s a win all around, right?
In the few days since our grocery shopping excursion, we’ve finished up all of the breakfast biscuits and all of the granola bars. Even the husband is as addicted as we are now. As for the coffee, I’m savoring the last few drops of my Chocolate Mocha heaven. Seems like we have many trips to Safeway in our near future to keep our *new* morning on the go breakfast fully stocked in our pantry.
