This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Unilever Ice Cream. All opinions are 100% mine.
I find it hard to find a better dessert during the summer months than ice cream. I’m admittedly a huge fan of all things ice cream, but when it’s 110 degrees outside with crazy humidity, I consume much more than I probably should admit to. Cold, refreshing, and so many different flavors to choose from; what’s not to love?
Recently, I hosted some of our best friends to taste test six different brands of ice cream and frozen treats. Unilever has six amazing brands that we tried out and I’m here today to share what we liked best and what we’d recommend for you to test out!
Here are the six brands from Unilever that we tested out:
Before I jump into chatting about the ones we liked best, I just need to say this: you cannot go wrong with any of these! There were six of us testing out the different flavors and not one of us had one negative to say about anything we tried. No joke.
First up: My favorite, Breyers.
I picked up the Mrs. Fields Chocolate Chunk Cookie Dough and it didn’t disappoint. Some brands of ice cream can be skimpy with the extras they have mixed in, but not Breyers. I had cookie dough and chocolate chunks in every single bite, and in my opinion, that makes for a stellar ice cream. Two big thumbs up from me!
Reagan’s pick: The Breyers Lactose-Free Chocolate Ice Cream.
My sassy girl is ridiculously lactose intolerant. I’ll spare you the ugly details, but until this taste-testing, my girl has never had a drop of ice cream. Whenever we’ve had ice cream together as a family in the past, Reagan has always been given a different treat. A cookie, a piece of candy, whatever we could scrape up to pacify her. Those days are no more! Breyers has come out with a line of ice cream that’s lactose free and affordable. Reagan is a big fan.
Picked by Keith and Andrea: Good Humor Reese’s Peanut Butter Ice Cream Cup
If you love Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups typically, you will adore the ice cream version! I can also verify that these were absolutely delicious; from the crunchy chocolate coating to the peanut butter ice cream, there isn’t anything about this that a peanut butter lover can find fault with. They dare you to try.
Luke’s choice: Popsicle Frozen Pops
I think being a five year old automatically predisposes you to being a super fan of all things related to cartoon figures. The fact that Popsicle had varieties available in Superheroes, SpongeBob, and Hello Kitty was absolutely mind-blowing to my little man. He also loved that there were multiple flavors in a single box so he can have lots of different flavor options. He likes having choices.
Andrew’s favorite: Klondike Mint Chocolate Chip Bars
Andrew and I have decided that there’s not much that can go wrong when you pair a hard chocolate shell with delicious mint chocolate chip ice cream and the Klondike bars don’t disappoint. Seriously. Trust me.
Now even though we didn’t pick the Fruttare bars or Magnum Ice Cream bars as our favorites, we all loved them. The Fruttare fruit bars were a fresh treat that had a much lighter feel to is, while the Magnum Ice Cream Bars were rich and indulgent and heavenly.
Now for the best part…I get to give one lucky Sweet Rose Studio reader six coupons so you can taste test your own Unilever brand favorites!
