Not that I ever expected it, but when I was teaching, I loved the thoughtful gifts that I received from my new families the first week of school. It was a sweet way to know that my students and their parents were just as excited for the new school year as I was. In fact, the very first teacher gift I received my very first year of teaching was a fluffy pink pillow that sits on Reagan’s bed as a decoration.
You don’t need to rush out and buy some fancy new thing for your child’s new teacher; that just isn’t realistic, nor is very personal. I love doing things for others that take more time than money, things that show your heart. Today’s post in one example I’m sharing this week: a Berry Excited Teacher Gift and Matching Tags.
There are two different choices for the tags: I’m so Berry excited you’re my teacher! and Here’s to a Sweet school year! Both are super cute and free, as always.
And those strawberry cookies? They were so ridiculously easy!
Simply take a box strawberry cake mix and add 2 eggs and 1/2 cup oil. Spoon the batter on to a cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. The best part is that you can substitute any type of box cake mix to create different flavor cookies.
Place the cooled cookies in a strawberry container and tie the tag off with red baker’s twine. You can find the strawberry containers at The TomKat Studio or Petite Party Studio. I love both of these party sites!
Keep checking back this week for more Back to School ideas!
