One Little Word for 2014: GROW

I’m not sure where the idea exactly originated from or who was the genius that launched a movement, but I know of oodles of people who choose one little word each January 1 to serve as a sort of mantra for the year to come. It’s a way to focus on a positive outlook and a fresh start to a brand new year.

This year, I thought I’d take a moment to share my one little word for 2014: GROW.

2014 One Little Word

I really want to spend 2014 in full-on growth mode.

I want to grow in my faith.

I want to grow the love I have for my family even more.

I want to grow more patient through trials and grow my understanding of circumstances outside my control.

I want to continue to grow my relationship with my best friend, my husband.

I want to continue to grow my little slice of the internet as it’s really become a place that I love dearly.

I want to continue to grow and foster the friendships and relationships that I treasure dearly.

I want to grow.

Now I’d like to know: what would be your one little word for 2014?

Wow, I love this idea. I am going to use it as well. I have been thinking of words and I feel that Grow will be the best for family and myself as well. Thank you for the wonderful idea.

Hi Katie! I just discovered your blog and PL layouts through Pinterest and I’m so happy at this find! I’m not new to PL as I began using it last year to document my daughter’s first year (and have continued to use it ever since) but I found your beginner tutorials really helpful. They inspired me to try new techniques and use other embellishments and to mix n’ max kits more depending on activity/event etc. I can’t wait to read your 2014 posts and project life layouts!!
