With the holiday season in full swing and much cooler temperatures accompanying it, I like to surprise my kidlets with warm treats every now and then to warm them up after a long day at school and to share a little extra Christmas magic with them. While the treats have been typically restricted to cookies, I’m excited to be branching out this year with Peppermint Hot Chocolate. With the help of the new International Delight line of hot chocolate, I can make something warm, delicious, and memorable for my family in no time flat!
The recipe for this isn’t even really a recipe thanks to the pre-made hot chocolate and if you choose to heat it up in your microwave, it’s literally ready to go in less than a minute. And on a side note, how genius would these be at your holiday parties? So fun!
International Delight Hot Chocolate
1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
1. Heat the hot chocolate according to the directions on the package.
2. Add the peppermint extract to the heated hot chocolate and stir with a spoon (or the candy cane if you don’t want to do extra dishes – I won’t tell).
3. Garnish your hot chocolate drink with whatever you choose. I did a little bit of everything by adding whipped creme, marshmallows, and the candy cane.
Reagan is in serious love with this easy drink recipe and wants to know when I’ll be making it again. The way to this girl’s heart is definitely through her tummy!
