I have thrown a baby shower or twelve in my lifetime and I’ve also hit that magical age where the vast majority of my friends are either pregnant, have babies, or are getting close to trying for their own little bundle of joy. Being able to give a great gift that is also useful and unique has always been important to me. I don’t want to gift a new momma a giant pile of something she’ll have no clue how to use or have it collect dust in a corner for years to come. I’ve done some searching around the fabulous internet for some awesome ideas and I’ll also share some of my ideas for the perfect gift.
I have a deep-rooted loyalty for items that have multiple purposes. I created a diaper wreath similar to this one for my sister’s baby shower and have since made a few with other friends. It can be used as decor during the shower (it’s perfect to hang on the front door) and everything on it is fabulous to have when that precious bundle finally arrives: diapers, duckies, car seat toys, travel toiletries, hair accessories, baby socks. Really, whatever is small enough to fit makes a great addition!
Binky clips are an absolute must in our house. Luke and Reagan have both been babies that adapted to and became addicted to binkies in record time. Clips like these are magical in the fact that binkies no longer get lost all over the house and once the baby is able to get their own pacifier in their mouth, they will always be able to find it. Seriously genius.
Boys don’t get nearly the love that girls do when they are babies. Let’s face it–the options for girls are far better and way cuter than what’s out there for the boys. So when I find something that I think is amazing for the little stud muffins, I feel a need to share. Look at these:

How could you not love these? And when you take in to consideration how much use these would get in cooler climates, they are such a great gift option.
If you know that the momma-to-be is struggling with decor for her nursery, Honeybear Lane makes the most gorgeous puff quilts. These are truly one-of-a-kind items that I can’t say that I’ve seen anywhere else. Ever. And if you know of someone that is a particularly crafty seamstress and don’t want to be on a waiting list, she sells the tutorial for the bedding so you can make them yourself! See how gorgeous they are?
