As I sit here typing this, I hang my head in shame. I confess, I am a bad blogger. Especially because I consider myself to be of a fairly crafty and creative variety.
I have a confession to make: I don’t decorate for every holiday.
Gasp.
It’s like some kind of blogger sacrilege, but I have to be honest. I do enjoy a good festive fall decoration and I’ve been known to throw out a Christmas ornament or twelve, but all those other holidays basically get the shaft. Sure, I have all of the ideas for things that I’d like to do someday, it’s just not that day yet. Pinterest has really helped me to be able to categorize and remember all of the ideas that I’ll put to good use someday.
I posted my round-up of Fourth of July Party ideas over at I {heart} Naptime last Friday, but there have been even more great ideas and products posted since then. Whether you use these ideas this year, purchase them for years to come, or are a holiday slacker like myself, feel free to do with them what you’d like (or when you’d like).
The wreath is my favorite. I may recreate it for my own home. 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
Don’t feel bad! I’m right there with ya. We dont’ all have the time or energy to make every holiday special, BUT I do have to say that’s one reason I love the subway printables all you crafty ladies make available. One great frame, a quick switcharoo and voila! A mantle or side table now speaks to the reason for the season…or at least the season:-)
I really only decorate for Halloween Christmas and valentines day. I don’t care either. Just because you are a creative person doesn’t mean you have to be super cutesy with everything!
