Oh boy, do I have a ridiculously yummy cookie for you today:
But before I give you the full rundown and recipe for it, I need to introduce you to the amazing gift that I received from my wonderful FIL for Christmas…my first ever KitchenAid Stand Mixer. Swoon. It deserves this hug, I promise. A big squeezy hug, at that.
I’ve waited for a good amount of time for one of these beauties and man — she doesn’t disappoint. Just look at how pretty she is.
The actual cookie recipe is nothing groundbreaking or new; I took it straight off of the back of the Toll House Chocolate Chip package. I just couldn’t help myself. I mean, look at how sparkly that bowl is!
Here’s where the twist to the recipe comes in! When the chocolate chip batter is finished, put small scoops on a cookie sheet. Press a Junior Mint into the center and using a spoon, spread the cookie dough from the side over the top of the mint. Bake the cookies according to the package directions. Let them cool and enjoy all of the gooey goodness!
The kidlets were all about these cookies (and Luke was even upset when he didn’t get to take pictures with the cookies first).
And now I need *your* help. I’ve named my cars: Gus was my first car, a 1987 hatchback Acura Integra and Vinnie is the second car, a 2001 Ford Focus. I’ve named my kids. Now I’d like to name my fancy new mixer. Do you have any suggestions? I feel like she {yes, she} has some spunk to her, but has an underlying reliable nature to her. She’s not one that folds to trends and will bring lots of joy {and potentially pounds} to our family. So what do you think?

OMG those cookies look so good! As for the name- hmmmmmmm. How about Jezebel? She sure looks good (I have one in red), but she can make some evil/incredible things. 🙂
Ooh, she’s a beauty. So how about Belle or “Shug” (like southern speak for sugar). 🙂
I was also thinking Bella or Belle.
I love all of your in-action photos with your kids. And that hug with your mixer! Lol. I must try out these cookies! They look delish! Thanks so much for linking up to Oopsey Daisy, and thanks for your shout-outs today. You rock!!
You are going to love that Kitchen Aid Mixer! I’ve had mine about 30 years and it still works great! I’ve used it so much over the years! I even used it tonight to make chocolate chip cookies!!! I feel bad, I never named mine! I did a post about one back in 2007 http://romantichome.blogspot.com/2007/02/sad-kitchen-aid-mixer.html If you read that you will see how much I love my mixer! Enjoy!!!!
