Some of my dear friends recently moved into a new home and I knew I wanted to come up with a housewarming gift that suited their style and was super cute. Here’s what I came up with:
I think it followed my criteria perfectly and I’m excited to show you how to make your own. I feel a free printable coming your direction 😉 ….
Materials:
8.5 x 11 in. dark brown cardstock * 4.25 x 5.5 in. mustard yellow cardstock
Welcome To Our Hive printable * glue
Start by cutting out a single bee from one corner of the mustard color cardstock. Save this as it will become your card for the gift later. Cut 15 beehives from the dark brown cardstock. Begin folding each of the hives like an accordion. Apply a thin line of glue to the back folds of each beehive and place onto the printed Welcome To Our Hive sheet. Once everything has dried and is secure, place it carefully in a frame of your choice.
To finish the card that accompanies the gift, cut a 5.25 x 2 in. strip of the dark brown cardstock and glue it behind where the bee was cut out. Easy, right?
Add a sweet bow and your gift is ready to give!
If you’ve been debating whether or not to get your own personal die-cut machine, now is the perfect time! Lifestyle Crafts is running a special on their Revolution, a smaller and more compact die-cut system. The Revolution is made to fit dies 4 in. and smaller, so it’s an awesome starter option!
The Revolution usually retails at $89.99 and it’s on sale right now for a steal at $59.99, but with the Sweet Rose Studio Lifestyle discount {SWEET}, you can get yours for $47.99! This deal is only available while supplies last; don’t wait!

So cool. I’ve been just starting to use printables and die cuts/cutting machines *might* be the next step, have to run it by my husband first. thank you so much for this idea, I’m pinning it so I can come back when I’m ready to make it.

This is precious. What a lovely gift for a new home. I also think it would be nice to give to a new family member at a wedding or even just as a welcoming sentiment to have hanging in a foyer of a home. It’s beautiful! Wish I had the crafting gear to make one. I found you through Aimee’s It’s Overflowing. from Holly @ http://www.abakershouse.com
I really love this, perfect for a gift
