Washi Tape Notecard Set

Figuring out a meaningful birthday gift for someone that doesn’t break the bank can be tricky. And if said birthday gift is going to your MIL, you really don’t want to screw things up. Right?

My MIL’s birthday is next week and she will be on an awesome vacation on her big day. I wanted to make sure that she received something from us on the *actual* day {she already got her big gift from us}, so I put together this super fun Washi Tape Notecard Set! The Husband and I, our two kids, and my SIL are all writing meaningful messages to her inside of our notecards.

Cute, right? Keep reading to learn how to make your own!

Materials:

white card stock * washi tape

envelopes * scissors

1. Cut the card stock in half to create two 5.5in. x 8.5in. pieces. Fold the card stock in half to create the notecard.

2. Apply washi tape to the front of the card. Make sure that the tape hangs over the edge a smidge so you can get a nice clean line later.

3. Trim the excess washi tape from the edge of the card.

4. Admire your handiwork!

Because this craft is super easy to complete, you can even let your kids create their own.

I let my kidlets choose the tape they wanted to use. I then tore the pieces from the roll and let them place them wherever they chose on the card. Since they aren’t much for writing at this stage in their lives, I let them color to their hearts’ content on the inside. I’m sure it will be just as meaningful to their wonderful Nonna.

Once your cards are complete, tie them up with a bow for pretty packaging {I personally love to use baker’s twine for projects like this}, and they are ready to go!
