Glitzy Glittered Pumpkins

When I think of Cinderella, pumpkins automatically come to mind. Maybe it’s just my love for all things pumpkin, but I knew when planning the Cinderella Soiree, I had to include a pumpkin of some sort as the centerpiece. The Glitzy Glittered Pumpkins that I put together for the party were the perfect marriage of pumpkin and princess.

The full tutorial is after the jump!

Materials:

foam and real pumpkins * white spray paint

clear glue * glitter

blue painter’s tape

1. Cover the stems of the pumpkins with the painter’s tape so the stems are protected from the paint. Spray pumpkins to cover all of the orange. It may take a few coats. Allow the paint to dry thoroughly.

2. Use the clear glue to create swirls or other patterns on the pumpkin.

3. Sprinkle glitter over the wet glue. Repeat the glue and glitter process until you have as much of the pumpkins covered as you like. Mine are only glittered on the top half.

Your glitzy glittered pumpkins are ready for display! I love that I can still leave these up for Halloween even though the party is now over; double duty decor is awesome!
