Once upon a time, I was great at making sure that I preserved all of our memories. I spent countless hours Luke’s first year of life hunched over my old, ghetto desktop computer editing, writing, and creating hundreds of blog posts. I loved every second of our family blog and at the end of that first year, I used Blurb to create a blog book and that nearly-300-page book serves as Luke’s first year album.
The kids *adore* looking at that book. It’s a treasured piece of literature in our home and I feel absolutely awful that Reagan doesn’t have a similar book to look back on. Sure, I spent some quality time writing nearly as many posts for Reagan’s first year. And yes, I’ve started a Blurb book of her own, but that was over a year ago that that happened. I’m seriously behind and seriously feeling like the most awful Momma ever.
Since Reagan turned a year old, I haven’t blogged nearly as frequently on our family blog. In fact, the last post I wrote is dated from September of last year. Yikes! I’ve been stalking Project Life for months now and I’m thinking it’s time to make the jump to a hands-on, easy-to-use system.
Have you heard of Project Life yet? I feel like the simplicity and cuteness is right up my alley. Using photo pocket pages and pre-printed cards, I feel like I can easily keep our memories together and my kids will have the memories to look back on for years to come. I don’t need all of the extra fancy embellishments, paper, and other scrapbooking *stuff*, unless I really want to use it. I can keep it completely simple and that is what really draws me to this system.
I’ve had my eye on the Olive Edition for as long as I can remember and I’ve informed the Husband that this is what I’ll be receiving this for Mother’s Day this year.
I honestly can’t wait to get started. I have heaps of printed pictures and more digital files than I care to share and I just want to get them organized and preserved. Have you ever thought of how you’ll be preserving YOUR family’s memories?
I was not paid or provided product in any way for this post from Blurb or Project Life. I just love both of their products; all opinions and ideas are 100% my own with no compensation.Pin It
