Sometimes a momma needs a break. Sometimes a business owner has a desire to grow their business through learning about the latest and greatest and networking with like-minded peers. Sometimes, life hands you the best of both worlds and that exactly how I feel about SNAP.

I spent last weekend hobnobbing with 350 of the best and brightest women and men in the creative/DIY/fashion blogger community. We attended informative classes on how to improve, grow, and expand our blogs. We partied in our pajamas, shopped at one of the BEST handmade markets you’ll come across, and we built and nurtured lifelong friendships.

These are the lovely ladies I was lucky enough to get to share a room with. Kelli from Lolly Jane, Lindsay from Better After, Kristen of Capturing Joy. and Kristi from Lolly Jane were a hoot and I’m secretly hoping they’ll room with me again next year.
If you follow me on Instagram, you were probably feeling barraged by the pictures I was sharing this weekend and I’m
almost sorry for that. This collage puts all of my favorites together. If you’d like to hear the story behind some of these, go look up the picture on Instagram. There’s a whole lotta funny.
There are two Instagram highlights that I’d like to share:
I was thrilled to be chosen to participate in the Lowe’s Challenge while at SNAP. Basically, five bloggers are paired together and given random materials to build something awesome in an hour. No easy feat, let me tell you! I have a new special place in my heart for Jamie from The Crafting Chicks, Holly from My Sister’s Suitcase, McKenzie from Girl Loves Glam, and Whitney from A Mommy’s Life with a Touch of Yellow. We put this Pallet Patio Makeover together with no screws or nails. Yeah…that.
I can’t decide if I’m ridiculous or not, but for some reason I’m kinda over the moon that I won the award for Best Ever Cute Pajamas at the party the first night we were there. I don’t win many awards, if any, so I’m taking this on as my own personal Academy Award for pajamas. And with any good award show, an acceptance speech is absolutely necessary: I’d like to thank the Academy and all those who made SNAP happen. To all my fans, you rock! And just so I don’t forget, the Husband gifted me these sweet jammies, so I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him.
But seriously, Tauni and the rest of the SNAP team did a phenomenal job putting together a conference packed with all kinds of awesomeness and I honestly can’t wait for next year already!
