Have you noticed yet that I have a thing about Pallet Art? I’ve really embraced my love for reclaimed wood and created yet another piece perfect for any patriotic celebration or decor set-up, just in time for Memorial Day and the Fourth of July.
When you first walk into our home, there is a table that is perfect for accessorizing for holidays and honestly, I’m loving it. I’ve never had anywhere in our previous homes to do this. When you live in a newer home in the Phoenix area, fireplaces and mantles are few and far between so my pseudo-mantle is a welcome bonus.
I knew I wanted to create a piece for the table that was distinctly patriotic, absolutely something that paid tribute to this great country that I live in and I’m pretty certain that I created it. The Pledge of Allegiance reference added enough of that patriotic flair that I was looking for and the stain added the vintage flair that I was hoping for.
The bottom edge of the table needed a little something extra and this well-used burlap banner was a great addition. Adding paper doilies and a red ribbon updated it and made it a great final touch to the vignette.
Do you have any big plans for decorating your home for the upcoming patriotic holidays?
