The Husband works seriously hard for our family. He works at a local nursery and he’s outdoors and on his feet more hours a week than I can count. As much as he’d love to come home and run all over the place with our two kidlets, some days that’s just not in the cards. There are days when he comes home with aching feet, sore muscles, and needs to rest on the couch for a bit. We’ve found a great solution for our family for these occasions to help give Daddy a break, but spend time with the kids: streaming with Netflix Kids.
With Netflix Kids, we can watch our favorite TV shows and movies anywhere, any time we want. Netflix is available on hundreds of devices, some of which we already have at home. And trust me, streaming is far easier than you think. Awesome, right? We already have the Netflix app downloaded on our iPad and I don’t have to worry about the content. The dedicated kids section has family favorites appropriate for children ages 2- 12. All content is selected with help from Common Sense Media to provide ratings, reviews, and information so we as parents can easily make choices for our children!
With Netflix streaming, we can easily access hundreds of shows that my kids will happily watch in an instant. Netflix has recently added some of my kids’ most favorite shows like Caillou, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, and Curious George plus some new-to-us shows that will become fast favorites (My Little Pony, ahem). We love having the option of spending a low-key evening together watching a family-friendly show or movie without having to wait on a DVD being delivered or seeing what’s left over at the local box.
What are you watching on TV with your family? Netflix has family favorites from Disney, Disney Jr., Hasbro, Cartoon Network and Dreamworks that are available to stream anytime, anywhere.
And streaming is easier than you think! Download the free app on your iPad, click on the Netflix app on any gaming device, go to the website on your computer – and you’re in business. Check it out here!

I seriously think we’re addicted to Netflix. We might need an intervention!
My kids would love this!! I’ll have to check into it more.:)
I’ve been looking at Netflix, but I haven’t used it before. I really want to get rid of cable. Do you have cable and Netflix or just Netflix?
We have both because we’re big sports fans and like to see a lot of games, but you could totally get away with just Netflix!
We have just had netflix for 2 years now. One tv is able to get over the air broadcasts so we can watch the news but 90% of our tv watching is on netflix
We loved Netflix kids…..UNTIL they removed Blues Clues! My son (4 years old) is devastated. I hope they bring it back!
Netflix is awesome! I don’t have cable, but I have an Apple TV, so I subscribe to Netflix, Hulu Plus and pay for certain sports. Plus, with Netflix, the girls aren’t watching TV ads, so they aren’t constantly begging for some sugary cereal or junk that they don’t need. It saves me a ton of money. Oh and my girls are addicted to My Little Pony!
We are huge Netflix fans. We’ve discovered some programs for the girls that we otherwise wouldn’t have if we just had tv.
We love netflix, since we don’t get TV at our house it’s great to share the cartoons I grew up with as well as find a few new treasures!
Love netflix! Streaming just makes it better!
We love Netflix Kids too! Such a great option to have when you’re battling toddler meltdowns! 🙂
Daddy/Kiddo movie time is the greatest!!
Netflix is my fave! I watch it every night!
