You know how people always say that girls’ clothes are way cuter than boys’ clothes? I never believed it before Reagan was born. I could put together the sweetest outfits for Luke and he looked like a little stud. Hats, sneakers, sweater vests. His wardrobe was rockin’ and I loved it. And then Reagan happened.
I’m not going to lie: that tried and true statement about girls’ clothes is tried and true for a reason. Girls’ clothes are really that much cuter. Recently, Reagan was given the opportunity to test out Jelly Beans sandals and her kid style was taken up a notch or five.
Reagan is a funny girl in that she is very picky already at three years old about what she will and will not wear. Blue and green are out of the question and whatever I pick out must have a girly flair to it or it will go right back in her dresser. I like to shop almost solely in store with her in tow for her clothing so I know that she’ll actually wear what’s purchased for her. Because Jelly Beans had to come through the mail, I was admittedly nervous about her sassy reaction.
All my worries for naught as my girl adores her “glass slippers,” as she so lovingly calls them now. These sweet shoes have not left her feet these past few days and she demands that I choose outfits to coordinate with her new favorite accessory.
My favorite part of her new shoes? That I owned a pair just like them when I was young! Trends do come back around whether we like them or not and I’m glad this is a returning trend that my girl and I can both embrace. These sandals are the perfect summer shoe: Reagan can wear them dressed up, dressed down, to the pool, or to church. I love the versatility.
