This post is brought to you by American Crafts, but all opinions and ideas are 100% my own.
There are very few places that I love to shop at more than Target. In fact, The Husband hates to go anywhere near Target with me because I could happily wander up and down every aisle twice just checking out if there is something that I need to get. More often than not, I will find lots of things that I don’t really need to come home with me and the new line of Halloween Craft Kits and Embellishments from American Crafts at Target was just one of those things. But you know what? The Husband adores our new Easy Halloween Mantle and I was able to put it together for a bargain price so he really can’t complain.
Let me just start by saying that I made the best use of some things I already had around my house *plus* I added in a Witch’s Hat Craft Kit and a few other embellishments. That’s it. Halloween doesn’t have to cost you a fortune and I still love the results. The average price of the American Crafts goodies at Target is about $5 with the most expensive item being a super adorable wreath craft kit ringing in at $9.99.
I’m very much a rule follower typically, but I decided to stray from the norm. I used the Witch’s Hat Kit, which has all the materials to create 8 of the cutest little witch’s hats, to create this festive and simple Halloween card (I’ll be back with a tutorial on it tomorrow). And when I say simple, I totally mean it. Everything in the kit already had adhesive dots or strips on the back so it was literally peel and stick!
This bunting may look a smidge familiar to you. I created it as part of Stella’s Golden first birthday party prep a few months back. By adding the American Crafts screen printed clothespins, I added more glam (because I’m apparently obsessed with it this fall) and a splash more Halloween to an already-adorable piece of decor.
I found this little frame at a craft store a few weeks back for dirt cheap and it’s been waiting to be filled ever since. I chose one of the Halloween epoxy stickers to fill it with.
This print is from a set of free printables I shared last Halloween, but never got around to printing it out until this fall. Oops! I may go back and add a line of gold glitter to the orange edging, but for now, it makes a perfect addition to the mantle.
American Crafts also has the most awesome accent stickers at Target too. I added this large sticker and a bit of twine to an old spaghetti sauce jar to create the final piece of the mantle. I have big plans to use this jar again in an upcoming post, so make sure to stay tuned in next week. 😉
In case you were wondering (because I know I would be!), I have a few extra details for you about the American Crafts Halloween line at Target:
- There are three craft kits available: a banner, a wreath, and the witch’s hats. They are all super adorable!
- If scrapbooking is more your game, there is a 6×6 pad of paper and over a dozen embellishments from washi tape to sequins and stickers to use.
- All of the items coordinate so you can mix and match as you choose and you don’t have to worry!
- You can find these goodies only at Target stores in the US (and possibly online at Target.com).
There you have it! My easy Halloween mantle is up, The Husband is happy, and the kids are wondering why they can’t go trick or treating today. Ha!

I love your Mantel! I am the same with Target…and it’s bad because I’m 45 minutes away so when I DO go I’m there for like hours on end 🙂 The AC Halloween stuff is so cute, I’ve been using some too! Love it!
45 minutes from a Target?!? For shame! 😉
Super cute Katie!! 🙂
Ok this is super cute! Love these products and might just have to swing by my Target later today! 😉
What a sweet mantle! American Crafts and Target… you can’t go wrong!
