Hands down, my kids’ favorite song right now is the eternally weird “What Does the Fox Say?” I know it isn’t new by any means and has been grossly over played, but they still can’t seem to let this little ditty go. I can’t really complain about it seeing as how its totally kid-friendly and I don’t need to be concerned about the language or suggestive lyrics, but I needed to put a fun twist on the song to make it a little more tolerable to me at this point. We know I love a good party and this seemed like the best of both worlds!
In case you may have forgotten, I’m participating in the Cricut Design Space Star contest and we were tasked with making something used for a celebration with our Cricut Explore. The amazing Team 10 that I’m on decided as a group that we wanted to stick with a Woodland theme and my post-baby hormones and sleep-deprived brain cells kind of went overboard and pumped out five different projects to create this party set-up. Yep — five — so expect to see lots of fox party goodness this week!
I like to create crafty things that can serve multiple purposes. The wreath that I put together served not only as a rustic backdrop for the celebration, but now also adorns my front door as my fall wreath.
I’ve had an idea to create a slightly different cupcake/dessert topper for a while now and this seemed like a perfect time to put my idea into action. Arrows are still super trendy and I used a sneaky method to make these happen!
As my kids have said recently, what’s a party without party hats? Combining decorative card stock from American Crafts and a party hat shape from the Cricut Design Space made a fancier-than-normal that won’t break the bank, especially with the addition of some coordinating fringe and baker’s twine.
My favorite part of the party set-up? These sweet fox masks.
And as with any good party, it’s key to have your guests leave with a small parting gift. I used the weld feature for the first time to put these cute little favor boxes together. I can’t wait to share how to create them later this week.
So what do you think? I’m honestly SO excited to share each piece of the What Does the Fox Say? party with you throughout the week. I hope you’re loving it as much as I am!
