Sarah’s Modern and Bright Room Update

This post is sponsored by Shutterfly, but all opinions and ideas are 100% my own.

Well friends, you might remember Sarah’s original room inspiration and her room reveal from a few months back. I poured a lot of thought and work into completing her room before she decided to make her grand entrance and I adore how it turned out. All along though, I knew I wanted to include some images of her in there and I had to wait for those until she was born, obviously. Now that she’s here, I’m thrilled to be here sharing Sarah’s Bright and Modern Room Update.

Sarahs Room Update at Sweet Rose Studio

The main area that needed to be updated was the large blank space above her dresser/changing table. The DIY Heart Mobile is super cute, but it by no means took up enough valuable wall real estate. Enter Shutterfly and their amazing wrapped canvases! I took three of my favorite photos that I took of my sweet girl just days after she was born and had them placed on 16 x 20 canvases. Never leaving well enough alone, I knew that they needed a little something extra. I used the Hand-Drawn Overlay Canvas Print to add a little extra whimsy to the portraits and I adore how they turned out.

When paired with the bright pop of color from the DIY Heart mobile and the neutral gray of the walls, the canvases add a lot of impact to her room without being overpowering.

Another fun piece that I added to her room is the Photo Gallery Photo Cube from Shutterfly. I purposely added pictures from our stay at the hospital when she was born. It was such a special time as we became a family of five; I wanted to make sure that those memories were captured in her nursery.

The Husband was so excited about the Photo Cube that I’m thinking that it may not last long in her nursery; I see it migrating to his desk at work in the very near future.

The final thing I need to add to Sarah’s room is a frame with her birth announcement in it. I am in love with how they turned out! I slightly altered these Absolutely Perfect Birth Announcements to coordinate with the color scheme of her nursery. The clean, minimal design is the same style as the rest of her space and will make for the perfect final touch.

It feels so awesome to *finally* have her nursery completed and I can breathe a huge sigh of relief!

I’m curious though: what is your favorite part? I’d love to hear it!
