Rustic Glam Holiday Wreath Plus a Blog Hop!

Do you ever feel like once the holidays start happening, Christmas still seems to sneak up on you? Every year I try to prepare and get ahead of the game, but I somehow always end up getting to the week before Christmas and shaking my head wondering how time got past me again. This year, I’m trying to get a bigger head start on all aspects of the season and while I have more fun stuff to share later this week, today I’m sharing the first of my decor projects: a Rustic Glam Holiday Wreath!

Rustic Glam Holiday Wreath at Sweet Rose Studio

Life with three kids has been quite the transition lately, so rest assured that this wreath is super fast and easy to make. Literally anyone can make this happen!

Materials:

grapevine wreath

gold glittered snowflakes (mine are actually ornaments from Walmart)

pearl berry pick (similar to THIS)

decorative ribbon

Low Temperature Glue Gun

glue sticks

scissors

Directions:

1. Get your wreath ready by trimming off any excess branches that you don’t want on your wreath. I left a few random twigs because I liked the more rustic look of it, but you can do what works best for you.

2. Map out where you’d like to place your snowflakes and begin gluing them in place. Make sure to press the snowflakes firmly to the branches so they stick in place for the long haul.

3. Remove the pearl berries from the pick and glue them randomly on the wreath. I chose to glue mine in groups of two or three to help them stand out more.

See what I’m talking about?

4. Finish off the wreath by adding a decorative bow. You can either use the ribbon to hang the wreath with or use fishing wire like I did so it almost looks like your wreath is floating.

Now, I’m not really hanging this outside my home just yet, but I feel better knowing that its ready when the time comes!

I’ve teamed up with 14 other bloggers to bring you 15 new and amazing Christmas wreaths so there’s a little something for everyone.
