Happy Day Two of Craft Lightning Wedding Week! I know its only day two, but I’m just so excited to be sharing so many fun ideas to help make your special day even more awesome and because these are all simple and quick crafts, even the most novice crafter can easily complete them. Awesome!
Today I’m sharing a super simple tutorial for Easy Wedding Table Numbers that has one secret material that makes it a serious budget-saver too: wrapping paper!
As a girl who loves all things paper-related, I can personally vouch that scrapbook paper, especially the really cute kind, can get pricey fast. Scrapbook paper would be great if you needed a single sheet for your project, but when it comes to table numbers, the average wedding is going to need more than one or two. By using a roll of decorative wrapping paper, you can create many more table numbers at a fraction of the cost! Bonus for me: the wrapping paper I chose was on clearance at Target.
Materials:
- picture frame
- black acrylic paint
- paint brush
- wrapping paper
- pencil
- scissors
- adhesive
- die cut numbers
Directions:
1. I probably could have even labeled this step the prologue because if you can find inexpensive black picture frames, you won’t even need to do this step. I only had a wood frame that I liked so I needed to paint it.
Remove the backing and the glass from the picture frame. Using the black paint and the paint brush, cover the entire frame with paint.
This is what my frame looked like after a single coat of paint. If you’d like a more rustic feel to your table numbers, let it dry like this. I wanted a more modern look so I added another coat when this one had dried.
2. While your frame is drying, take the glass and trace it on to the wrapping paper. Use the scissors to cut out the wrapping paper.
3. Use adhesive to attach the die cut numbers to the wrapping paper. I used a tape runner, but an extra strength glue stick would work just as well.
4. Place the wrapping paper and number carefully in the frame and replace the backing.
You’re finished! Pretty dang simple, right?!
