It’s been eight glorious days of having my two older kidlets in school and we’re all a little happier now. Structure and a little “absence makes the heart grow fonder” works wonders for all of us. I figure it’s about time to start the documenting of the first day of school, so I put together a mini collection of Back to School Project Life Cards, and because I love y’all so much, I’m sharing them with you too!

I kept the color scheme really basic: black and white, with small touches of blue and red on the cards that resemble lined notebook paper. The black has a chalkboard texture to it to reinforce the school theme.
While I would have loved to showcase this collection with a photo from this year, that just wasn’t feasible. My favorite local photo printing place (I’m looking at you, Costco) us currently dealing with a hacking issue, so I had to use Luke’s kindergarten picture. Look at how tiny he was!
If you’re curious as to how to create the large photo I used in this layout, you can get all of the details HERE. It’s actually pretty simple!

Love you cards thanks for sharing them! I check everyday to see if costco is up and running. I wish they would allow us access to our albums while they work this out.
I
am trying to find the actual download for these cards. They are so adorable-I am missing it somewhere in your post? Thank you.
I am referring to the Back to School cards…. Thanks.
Thanks so much for catching it Yvonne! The post has been updated!
You’re welcome & thank you!
Did you mean “absence makes the heart grow fonder”?? (not happiness)?
Oh man! Apparently I should stop trying to finish up editing up a post with an 11 month old baby crawling around. Thanks for catching that for me!
