I come from a large family and its an important tradition for us to always get together for Thanksgiving. I remember being younger and getting together at my grandmother’s house with all of my aunts, uncles, and cousins. Now that all of us cousins have grown and have started having children of our own, the gathering has gotten exponentially larger with a LOT more kids! My sweet cousin, Kate, offered to host us all this year and when she requested I create a fun activity for the kids to do while they’re waiting for their food, I knew exactly what I wanted to do: Kids’ Thanksgiving Activity Placemat.
I had one major hurdle when designing these bad boys: it needed to appeal and be interesting to kids from ages 3-10. That’s a really big age range to cover!
I decided to combine a hot trend right now, more intricate coloring pages, with fun learning activities that will push their thinking and keep them engaged with each other.
And because my Luke loves a good joke, I added one perfectly silly Thanksgiving one at the bottom.
