I’ve been considering creating my own ugly Christmas Sweater for a few years now. Sure, I could go buy an already-made version at my local Walmart, but what’s the fun in that? Part of the experience is making your own, in my opinion. It’s supposed to be ugly so it really doesn’t matter how crafty you are! I finally broke down, made my own, and I’m now sharing how to make your own Sugar on Top DIY Ugly Christmas Sweater.

Cricut Iron-On Lite Vinyl in Red
1. Cut your iron-on vinyl pieces with your Cricut. Make sure to flip your design so it applies correctly! If you want to watch a simple video on how to cut iron-on vinyl, you can find it HERE.
2. Use your iron on the cotton setting to set the vinyl to your sweatshirt. Allow the vinyl to cool fully between layers and utilize a thin sheet of fabric in between the iron and vinyl that has already been applied. I made a brief video on how to apply the iron-on vinyl too; you can find that one HERE.
