Five Minute Makeup Routine

My mornings are crazy.

Now, I know that everyone feels like this and you are probable dealing with a similar amount of chaos in your daily life too. I get it. Between waking up early to squeeze in a quick workout to having to get two elementary age kids plus a sassy toddler ready for the day and out the door in time for school, I have next to no time to get myself ready. I have to make the most of every single second of our time together in the AM and I just can’t dedicate more than five minutes to applying makeup before I have to move on packing lunches and detangling bed head. My simple five minute makeup routine has been a lifesaver!

Five Minute Makeup Routine

While I could easily spend more than the five minutes each morning getting my makeup ready, I really don’t want to. The key trick to getting done so quickly is to look for products that multi-task. After a quick trip to Ulta, I found the perfect solution.

BareMinerals 1

Here’s a before shot so you can see what I start with each morning:

Five Minute Makeup Routine Before

One of my favorites is the bareMinerals Complexion Rescue. It combines powerful hydration, sun protection, and dewy sheer-to-medium coverage so I don’t feel like I’ve got heavy make-up caked on all day and I’m protected from the sun’s harmful rays. No need to moisturize and apply sunscreen and apply foundation; this has all three together already.

For my eyes, to make it fast, I like to keep it neutral. A few swipes of a pale shade on my upper eyelid and and middle tone brown on the lower half and I’m good to go. I apply the same theory of multi-tasking to my mascara, as well. It lengthens and curls all in one step. To finish off the eyes, I line the top lid with a simple black eyeliner.

The last step of the five minute makeup routine is a quick application of some bright blush to waken up my face.

In five quick minutes, I’m ready to face the day with a face that’s ready to go from carpool to errands to everything in between.

Love my five minute look, but have a few extra minutes to spare and you’d like to add a little more makeup to your morning routine? This video can help you out!
