Every now and then, I get lucky enough to have awesome opportunities head my way and when I was approached by my sweet blogging buddy, Stacy of Not Just a Housewife to participate in her Styled X3 series, I jumped right on it! Stacy, Jessica of Mom 4 Real, and I all are taking the exact same Burlap Storage Basket and sharing how we styled it in our home for this month’s installment of Styled X3.
As soon as I received the basket in the mail, I knew exactly how I was going to use it. See – my son has an inordinate number of sports balls and memorabilia. We’ve got footballs, baseballs, basketballs, blitz balls, tennis balls, golf balls, bouncy balls, and so many more kinds of round objects floating around our home and I’ve been needing to find a central location to store them. Because this basket has a fairly substantial size to it and soft sides, I was able to cram a good portion of his collection in there.
I placed the basket on the top of his dresser and surrounded it with some of his favorite sports memorabilia: trophies from the various sports he’s played, a commemorative bat from when our home team won the World Series, a poster that my husband has had for the Suns since he was young, and a helmet representing his all-time favorite team.
Not only does everything have a place now which makes me thrilled, but it also totally makes his sports-loving heart happy. I call that a win!
