This post was originally shared last year as part of The Crafting Chicks Summer Survival Series. Enjoy!
Before I started blogging, I was an elementary school teacher and I absolutely adore coming up with fun activities to help extend learning for kiddos of all ages, so this fun game is right up my alley! There are so many different fun art projects that parents can create for zoo animals, but I went a different direction: Zoo Animal Charades!
I have a 20 month old, a 6 year old, and an 8 year old and I wanted to come up with a fun activity that all three of my children could do together and charades seemed like an obvious choice. For my youngest, I’ll let her make the animal sounds, but the older two will have to act out their animal without sound.

This set of zoo animal charades comes with 24 common animals and are full color. I like to print my color copies at my local print shop and if you’d like them to remain durable for the long haul, I would have them laminated as well.
I love that I now have an activity that all three of my kiddos can participate in that involves exactly NO screen time and makes them really think and recall prior knowledge of animals to make the game work. It’s a definite win-win!
