BOOtiful Halloween Tee

Well, it’s official. I really only have one child left that will let me dress them in fun holiday-themed gear and while that makes my momma heart a little sad, I’m going to make the very most of it while I can. I put together this fun little BOOtiful Halloween tee for Sarah and we are both loving it!

Materials:

black tee

Cricut Explore Air 2 or comparable machine

gold glitter heat transfer vinyl

matte white heat transfer vinyl

weeding tool

iron

scrap cloth

Directions:

Step One. Cut the BOOtiful image in Cricut Design Space. If you’ve never cut heat transfer vinyl before, you can watch a tutorial on YouTube HERE.

Step Two. Peel the excess vinyl to reveal the desired images. The weeding tool makes this process so much easier.

Step Three. Place the images on the tee where you’d like them to go. The nice part about the heat transfer vinyl is that you can reposition it as needed, as long as it hasn’t been ironed yet.

Step Four. Iron the gold glitter part of the image to the shirt. If you’ve never ironed on heat transfer vinyl before, this video on YouTube will walk you through the process.

Step Five. Place the ghost on top of the last O and place the scrap cloth on top of the entire image, glittered letters and all. Iron the ghost, making sure not to let the iron come in contact with any exposed glitter vinyl.

Step Six. Allow the tee to cool completely before wearing. Make sure to wash it inside out and to dry it on the lowest setting of your dryer.

Sarah is in love with her new “spooky shirt,” as she calls it. I call it a win!
