Each of my kids has a different tolerance level at which they can handle the creepiness that comes along with the Halloween holiday. Surprisingly, it’s my oldest and largest child who is the most scared of all things really scary so we have to keep our Halloween decor toned down to make sure he doesn’t cower away in his room for the next month or so. This no carve spooky pumpkin was a good compromise to incorporate something a little more scary that won’t have him running for the hills!
Materials:
faux pumpkin
Cricut Explore Air 2 or scissors
Directions:
Step One. Using THIS CUT FILE in Cricut Design Space, cut out the bats from the black card stock. If you don’t have a Cricut, don’t sweat it. You can easily cut bats by hand with scissors.
Step Two. Curl each bat around your fingers to lift the wings.
Step Three. Apply a small strip of tacky glue to the backside of a bat.
Step Four. Press the bat to the pumpkin and hold it for a few seconds until it begins to dry.
Step Five. Repeat each step until you’ve created a flying swarm of spooky bats. Awesome, right?!
Make sure you let the bats dry completely before displaying your no carve spooky pumpkin. Trust me. Wet glue isn’t very forgiving with little curious fingers.
